Wim and Carola

We have worked as doctors all our lives, partly in the Netherlands and partly on Bonaire island.

We were ready for a new challenge and chose to grow wine and olives. Because of these hobbies and with a preference for Portugal, we settled in this small quiet village near Coimbra.

Not only did the wine attract us, but also the possibilities to welcome guests and let them enjoy everything the farm and Portugal have to offer.

Vineyard

There is about 4 hectares of vineyard on the property. The focus of mainly red wine varieties have been cared for here for decades. This vineyard requires necessary care and attention all year round. Pruning, weeding, plowing, tying up, speaking with love… In September the grapes are harvested and the winemaking process can begin in the winery. You will be amazed at the excellent quality of the different wines.

The Quinta and its estate boasts a very central position in Portugal. This region of Portugal is one of the most enjoyable parts, with beautiful nature, great hiking and bicycling. All this set within stunning views and picturesque countryside small villages.

We are only a 20 minutes’ drive from Coimbra situated in a very small village, near Miranda do Corvo. The highway is 2 minutes away, but inaudible from the gardens or rest of the land.

Porto and Lisbon are both within easy reach. Porto, in under 90 mins and Lisbon in 1 hour and 45 mins meaning both airport options are a convenient distance from the Quinta. Its just half an hour from a beautiful seaside resort (Figueira da Foz) with sea and beach.
